Grilled Shrimp with Garlic Butter Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
For the shrimp:
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Juice of ½ lemon
For the creamy garlic sauce:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or parsley + oregano)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Marinate the shrimp
- In a bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, garlic, paprika, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Grill the shrimp
- Heat a grill pan (or outdoor grill).
- Cook shrimp for about 2–3 minutes per side until charred and pink. Remove and set aside.
- Make the garlic cream sauce
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Cook until it thickens slightly.
- Season with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Combine
- Add grilled shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce, or serve sauce on the side as a dip (like in your photo).
- Garnish & serve
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread for dipping.
