Crispy Fried Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 oz (about 350 g) fresh mushrooms (button or cremini work great)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- Oil (for frying)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prep the mushrooms
- Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel (don’t soak in water or they’ll get soggy).
- Slice them in half if they’re large.
- Set up breading station
- Bowl 1: Flour mixed with a pinch of salt & pepper.
- Bowl 2: Beaten eggs.
- Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper.
- Coat mushrooms
- Dredge each mushroom in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumb mixture.
- Press gently so the coating sticks.
- Fry
- Heat oil in a deep pan (about 350°F / 175°C).
- Fry mushrooms in small batches until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes).
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy mayo for dipping. 🥣✨
