Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin, or ground beef as a shortcut)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced (optional but recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone (or cheddar blend)
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or sour cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the beef
    • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook veggies
    • In the same skillet, sauté onion, peppers, mushrooms, and garlic until soft (about 5–7 minutes).
  3. Mix the base
    • In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, sautéed veggies, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Assemble casserole
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Spread the beef-veggie mixture in a greased baking dish.
    • Sprinkle mozzarella and provolone on top.
  5. Bake
    • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly with golden spots.
  6. Serve
    • Garnish with fresh parsley.
    • Enjoy as is, or serve with toasted hoagie rolls, rice, or pasta!
