Fluffy Milk Bread Recipe

🍞 Fluffy Milk Bread Recipe (Pull-Apart Style)

Ingredients:

  • 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp milk (for brushing)

Optional glaze (like in the picture):

  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp honey or condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Make the dough
    • In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
    • Add warm milk and egg. Mix until dough forms.
    • Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth. Add softened butter and knead again until elastic.
  2. First rise
    • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Shape the bread
    • Punch down the dough. Divide into 4–6 equal pieces.
    • Roll each piece into a rectangle, then roll it up like a jelly roll.
    • Place rolls side by side in a greased loaf pan.
  4. Second rise
    • Cover and let rise again for 40–50 minutes until puffy.
  5. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the top with milk.
    • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Glaze (optional)
    • While still warm, brush with melted butter mixed with honey or condensed milk for that shiny, sweet finish.
