🍞 Fluffy Milk Bread Recipe (Pull-Apart Style)
Ingredients:
- 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp milk (for brushing)
Optional glaze (like in the picture):
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp honey or condensed milk
Instructions:
- Make the dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk and egg. Mix until dough forms.
- Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth. Add softened butter and knead again until elastic.
- First rise
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the bread
- Punch down the dough. Divide into 4–6 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a rectangle, then roll it up like a jelly roll.
- Place rolls side by side in a greased loaf pan.
- Second rise
- Cover and let rise again for 40–50 minutes until puffy.
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the top with milk.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Glaze (optional)
- While still warm, brush with melted butter mixed with honey or condensed milk for that shiny, sweet finish.
