🍖 Classic Glazed Meatloaf

Ingredients:

For the Meatloaf:

  • 2 lbs ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers (optional, like in the picture)

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish or loaf pan.
  4. Mix all glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove, spread the remaining glaze on top, and bake another 15–20 minutes, until cooked through (internal temp 160°F / 70°C).
  7. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
